      Special Agent Shyira Chandler is under the impression she’s befriended a very handsome, yet mysterious man. But when her partner is abducted at gunpoint, she realizes too late she’s made a grave mistake. Agent Chandler has witnessed too much for Michael not to take action. He is compelled to bring her in. Coerced through the threat of death, Shyira goes through the rigors of becoming one of the world’s elite operatives. Forced to leave her life behind, she must find the courage to do the unthinkable in order to stay alive.
 
    Michael and Shyira deny their feelings because to say they’re in love would be dangerous. The Collective forbids emotional attachments. In order to keep Shyira alive Michael must keep her at arm’s length. Michael only knows one way: betrayal, which spawns actions in Shyira she didn’t know she was capable of.
